Middle Market Equity

We acquire controlling and significant minority stakes in established businesses generating $5M–$75M EBITDA. We focus on industries where operational improvement compounds over a long hold period: manufacturing, business services, healthcare services, specialty distribution, and consumer products.

What we look for: profitable, cash-generative businesses with defensible market positions, strong management teams or the capacity to build one, and operational complexity where our experience creates value. We avoid commodity businesses, capital-intensive industries without pricing power, and situations requiring financial engineering to generate returns.

Investment size: $25M–$200M equity per transaction. Hold period: 5–12 years. Geography: Southeast US primary, national opportunistically.

Commercial Real Estate

Direct real estate investment across office, industrial, multifamily, and mixed-use assets in Charlotte and the broader Southeast. We target value-add and opportunistic plays where leasing, repositioning, renovation, or redevelopment can generate returns above passive market appreciation.

We bring an operating company mindset to real estate — treating leasing, property management, and tenant relationships as active management disciplines rather than administrative functions. Our Charlotte base gives us privileged access to one of the most dynamic real estate markets in the United States.

Investment size: $10M–$100M per asset. Target markets: Charlotte, Raleigh, Atlanta, Nashville, Richmond. Asset classes: Office, Industrial, Multifamily, Mixed-Use.

Private Credit

Senior secured, unitranche, and mezzanine lending to middle-market companies in sectors where we have deep operational knowledge. We are not a credit fund chasing yield — we are equity investors who understand credit, which means we underwrite the business, not just the collateral.

Our credit investments are concentrated in companies that meet our equity investment standards: quality businesses, capable management, and industries we understand. We price accordingly and accept lower volume in exchange for higher conviction — averaging 8–12 credit investments per year.

Commitment size: $5M–$50M. Structures: Senior Secured, Unitranche, Mezzanine. Yield target: SOFR + 500–900bps depending on structure.

Special Situations

Special Situations

Opportunistic capital deployment in complex, time-sensitive situations that fall outside our core strategies but offer compelling risk-adjusted returns: distressed businesses with recoverable core operations, corporate carve-outs, family ownership transitions, and recapitalizations where incumbent lenders or shareholders need a solution.

Special situations require speed, flexibility, and the ability to make decisions with incomplete information. Our permanent capital structure allows us to move decisively in situations where PE funds cannot — 14-day closes are possible, creative structures are welcome, and we can hold as long as required for value realization.

Investment size: $10M–$100M. Typical hold: 1–7 years. Return target: 20%+ IRR on equity.
